tracks : From the Darkness
- Creation year
I wanted to write a heavy metal song. Musically, it's a result of playing around with riffs with the seven-string guitar. Lyrically, it's about the dichotomy that arises when you reach some spiritual experience and / or education and you think you understood and integrated it within you and then after a while the old image of the cruel world takes over again.
The dirty Chinese monsters tearing Tibet apart. The noble U.S. soldiers freeing countries from their gas. The rulers and their armies terrorizing countries in a world where weapons reign, where negotiating is vain. I'm trapped in a sphere of cruelty full of zombies without conscience who lock animals in cages then grind them while they're conscious. I'm stuck in this vicious wheel where all is driven by fear. I'm screaming from the darkness where people are heartless. And I'm reaching to the other side where there is charity, where there is love. Yes I'm reaching to the other side where there's serenity, where there is calm. What use is to know Thy will is done when my soul screams these things must be undone? What good is for the brain to accept when the guts throw up until I intercept? I'm calling from the darkness Where it's tooth for tooth and eye for eye. I am reaching to the other side where there is happiness, where there is love. Yes I'm reaching to the other side where there is clarity, where there is light. And I'm calling to the other side where there is unity, where we are one. Yes I'm calling to the other side ...
